ipod problems?

okay i downloaded the itunes 7 and now when i open itunes and hook up my ipod it dont show up in itunes that it is hooked up. I need help on how to make itunes show the icon stuff sayin my ipod is hook up.

I don't know how to help you with this but I do know that itunes 7 has like a TON of bugs in it my friend said he downloaded it and all of his memory is taken up now! But don't worry apple is fixing it and every week they will release a new itunes like 7.08 or something to try and fix the bugs week by week i hope it works soon!!!!
