Last night, I asked a very personal question concerning problems within my marital relationship, and, with one exception, I received oodles of replies that evinced concern and empathy, and all these replies have helped.

This has restored a lot of my faith in humanity. What are your views?

I think we all watch too much depressing TV news and read too many really negative newspapers.

Real people have always been decent and kind to me. Complete strangers can be wonderful!

dont take too much from one experience we are all just selfish really, the ones being 'empathetic' will be doing it to make themselves feel better. Dont kid yourself otherwise

On the other hand deal with it if u accept this truth then most people are alright. So are all humans horrible,no - some yes and shades of grey below that

I am a kind, giving person with a lot of tolerance and so have always had faith in humanity. That was until I read this post and lost my faith as soon as this chap lost his!

This "yahoo answer" thing, has restored a lot of my faith in humanity ,too. Answers to my questions have really been helpfull. Maybe people aren't that bad after all...

However bad it is you and me we have to survive. In few words human social life is an ugly rat race but some people tend to keep looking at the bright side and keep on being dismissive

Most of the rich are ripping everybody off, other wise they are not rich, So most people want to be rich and they try to follow and be rich themselves. so most people are ripping somebody off. Just look at the war zones, the charity money that disappears, the hidden taxes, bank charges, house prices,and so on.

Person to person we're O.K. it is when politics, nationalism, religion and patriotism get in the way, watch out world war three.
