Sadly, at 53, I don't have any grandchildren yet. My older daughter is 32, married 3 1/2 years and they are supposedly on the "5 year plan". The younger is 28, single and when I bemoan that I am not a grandmother yet, she chides that she can get pregnant, but I will have to raise the child. So, I wait. Meantime, I already picked out what I want my grandchildren (if I EVER get any) to call me...Grammy. I chose that YEARS ago, before I ever heard anyone called that and have since have heard it a gazillion times. I want to tell people NO, that's going to be my name, but I hold my tongue begrudgingly.

I loved it when I first heard those words from the mouths of my grandchildren. My husband is called Pop-Pop through the toddlers and that changed into extra straightforward for them to assert. Now, with 33 grandchildren, I turn round to the decision of "grandma' even no matter if it isn't one in each of my grandchildren calling. you're perfect, it does warmth the cockles of our hearts.

My grand son calls me Nana, over and over and over. It was so cute when he learned to say Nana. Now I'm convinced my daughter gets him to say it all the time so she can get a break!! ha!ha!
