When you say "messenger service window", do you mean one of the instant messenger sign on boxes? Or are you talking about an advertising pop-up window?

You can stop the instant messenger windows easily by disabling them, or opting to not have them load during startup.

The ad pop-ups are a form of adware/spyware. Pop-up stopper programs will stop them (from Windows or Yahoo or other common sites), but it's best to find and destroy them. Try running Ad-aware and Spybot.
