In internet explorer, click on Tools then select internet option. Under the first tab at the lower bottom select clear history. That will do it except for the current site you are on. Keep in mind that if this is at a business they typically will keep a log of sites visited. TX

You could have a virus running on your machine. If you have been downloading from sites like Kazaa and others, and you've picked up a nasty you won't be a happy camper. Many of these viruses are not fixable and require you to rebuild your machine - reformat the hard drive and install all your software fresh. Having too many sites saved in your browser probably won't be the source of your difficulties.

Maybe you have many program running on your starup.
Run msconfig
Then select the strartup and disable all of it, then restart your PC...
