First time they call: Say no thank you and hang up
Second time: Ask them to take me off their calling list because I'm not interested
Third time: Tell them if they call me again I'll file harrassment charges
Fourth time: Hang up without saying anyhitng
Fifth time: Scream bloody murder and tell them if they ring my phone just one more time I'll find them and strangle them with all my might. LOL

One of two ways: Hand the phone to the toddler, or simply say, this is my official request to be removed from your call list, permanently, then hang up.

hang up,
when they ask for someone i hand it off to another person who isnt the person they ask for, who hands it off to another person, and it just keeps going around the room because they cant hang up until you do, they could get fired if they do, lol one time someone did that and i hadent hung up yet and i almost called the person back but i didnt have their name, and another time i got into a fight with one abuot weather i wanted this service which i didnt and i was screaming and the guy was screaming and then he called me a mam and hung up, im a dude by the way it p*ssed me off!

Either say nothing so they hang up or go "sorry, you've got the wrong number" and hang up. I don't do phones in general!

Please put me on your do not call list.
By law if they continue to call you, you can report them and they will be fined. I think they have a certain grace period from the original request. Something like 30 days.
This technique seems to get them off the phone almost immediately.

I usually hang up. And although I am on the do not call list, they call me...on my CELLPHONE!!! How does that happen? I have said before, " Do you realize this is my cellphone? I got this phone so I wouldn't have to deal with you people anymore. Are you kidding me? Its 8:30 at night and you are calling me and pestering me. Don't ******** call me anymore!" I was pissed.

put them on hold...then i make back ground noises like i am doing something that i shouldn't be doing...some times i call some on my cell phone and hold my land line phone so tney can hear it and i talk about them the tellemakerer that is

Me: "No, who is this? I'm his daughter, can I take a message?"
Phone Guy: "No, no. I'll just call back."
Me: "What? You don't like random people calling you to bug you abot something? Either do we!" *hang up*
