Depends on the club, some have dress codes. You should call the comedy club to find out before you go.

No, when I go I wear whatever I'd like. Some ladies "dress" like going to a night club, others are in t-shirts and jeans.

I usually try to dress casual evening, like when I go to a local bar, not a nightclub. Usually jeans or other pants with a cuite top and heels. Guys can get away with jeans and nice shirt. Don't wear anything that screams "hey make fun of me".

casual attire is OK for comedy club , it 's really your choice and creativity . mix /match is really cool.good colors always set the pace.

since most people dont... and if you do, you will look silly....
if your chic... dress chic...
if your sassy, go for it
if your athletic, stylish, goofy, trendy.... dress how you would dress when you go on a simple dinner and a movie date... just think of it as club instead of movie...

Casual clothes are appropriate. Clothes always matter, you never know who you will meet, or, you may decide to go somewhere afterwards. Always be appropriately attired.

I don't even go any more.
I swear to god... why would you want to dress up to go listen to a bunch of rude people be as obscene as they possibly can be, thinking that they are funny? Why would I want to pay good money to listen to people curse... curse as if they taught sailors how to curse in their spare time... curse as if it's funny.
A bunch of cheap tramps... foul mouthed idiots, who only know how to make people laugh by being as obscene as they can possibly be.
