If I just leave the car right there in park, just turn it on and leave it there, a lot of white smoke comes out of the exhaust, what could it be?

It would be more helpful if you mentioned the year, make, model, and mileage of your vehicle to get a better quality answer. If it's WHITE smoke, it's coolant burning due to failed head gasket or cracked engine block or head. If it's BLUE smoke, it means you are burning engine oil either past the valve seals, or the piston rings. Hope this helps.

White smoke usually is from antifreeze. Check your coolant level. It doesn't take much to smoke. If it is agasket, it won't be so hard to fix. When idling the vacuum sucks antifreese into the cylinders, when you add power the heat vaporizes it. If enough antifreeze gets into the engine it will seize the rings and really make a mess. I bought an engine real cheap because of that once.
oil smoke is bluish.

If the smoke is white in color your water jacket is leaking somewher, usually a head gasket or cracked engine block,a costly repair and unless your a good mechanic,it will require a certified one, usually you can smell the anti-freeze burning in the exhaust due to it seeping into the cylinders;if the smoke is blue or gray,or you smell burning oil,it may be caused by worn or burned valves, valve guides, seats,or worn piston rings

If the smoke is white, not gray or blue, it's water in the gasoline from a crack in the head gasket. I'm afraid that's major bucks, like about a grand. Check with your mechanic to be sure.

Sure looks like a head gasket problem. Make and model of your car would help. Some engines are prone to this problem.

white smoke is usually a sign of water vapor . sounds like an internal water leak within the motor. better have a shop do a cooling system pressure check. good luck

Either a blown head gasket or a cracked head. Don't let it run out of water!! Good luck.

I would just check with your mechanic before you listen to anyone here they know what they are talking about but they are not the ones paying for the bill so take this advice and go see your local mechanic today.
