I was going to ask whats wrong with the world today, but it has been asked many many times. So I am asking whats right with the world today?

The only thing I can think of is technology. Science has gotten better and better, especially the revolution in communications, transportation, and medicine. People are living longer and are healthier. It wasn't too long ago that people didn't know that germs are the cause of disease. The inventions of the telephone,
television, personal computer, cell phone, etc have brought us all closer together. We now know about the dangers of global warming and there are people who are trying to do something about it. We are more aware of the problems. Science does get better and better. But the most important thing is that we have to learn to live together in harmony. Because
all our technology has only intensified our problems if we don't.

The human healthy life span is increasing. Awareness of problems like child abuse, pollution, global climate change, racism, poverty and intolerance is at an all time high. Access to information is becoming globally available. Women are slowly gaining political power. Tolerance for nations brutalizing their own citizens is at an all time low.
That's just a few things.

people are SO much more open to 'alternative' lifestyles that they aren't considered 'alternative' anymore. The world is so much more open with women's equality and a woman's decision to work outside the home is not a stigma. I'm so glad to be living in this day and age, even with the problems we ARE having!
