My 1st Sergeant in the Gulf War. He was trying to help a soldier that had just stepped onto a mine. He had a lot of composure and tried hard to save him. Even though he died, he did his best to save him. I would feel confident with him.

I would say mine would have to be the late actor Christopher Reeve who played superman . He lived life to the fullest every day even after his riding accident that left him paralyzed. He truly was a Superman. I pray for his son everyday and I wonder if he knows how lucky he was to have had a father like that.

My friend Stevie. She is a mother of three. She married her husband at 15. She is 24 now. She finally got tired of her husband abusing her and her children and she left. She left without a place, a car, money, job.....she is taking care of herself now and her children. She kept a smile on her face the whole time. I knew she was hurting. She told me how much she hurt. But she never once let her children know how upset she was. and she never said one bad word about their father to them. She is my hero.

Ryan White. The little boy from Indiana that contacted AIDS through a blood transfusion and died from it later. He was just this amazing boy that had this horrible disease, but he dealt with it in this really positive way. He handled it better then I think many of us adults would, and he just never let it bring him down.
Because of him and his mother, they raised a lot of awareness about AIDS, and especially about children with AIDS.
