I would try taking it to a local Laundromat. Use the biggest washer and run it through a rinse cycle. I discovered that if your washer is too small it will leave stuff on the comforter.

The stain probably happened because you washed it in too small a machine and poured the detergent right on it.

First lay it out flat and treat all the stains, preferably with Zout, that stuff gets out everything but is not marketed well so you have to look for it, or check their website for where to get it. Apply the zout or other good stain remover, let sit 10 minutes, then use an old toothbrush to gently scrub the stains until you loosen them up, they should be almost gone before you move on. This takes patience.

Next do what others said, rewash in a larger machine. Do not pour the detergent on the comforter, instead pour it into a larger container and dilute with water then add it. If you are using a top loading machine you can fill the machine half way with water with the detergent before adding the comforter. BTW this is a good precaution with all laundry, if you pour it straight in you will eventually stain something else.

Then wash as normal, recheck for any remaining stains, and if all is good dry as normal. If stains are left - repeat or replace.

Good luck. Zout has saved me many times.

try working the bathing device on warm with 0.5 a cup of bleach and cleansing soap powder with no longer something in it yet that. For the dryer try cleansing it out with a very reliable enjoyed ones purifier like an all purpose purifier with something specially made to bathe caught on grease. As for the stains a reliable stain remover like spray and wash could desire to shield it. reliable success.

You might need to put it in a frontloading machine, like the other person said...soak it in the tub until the stains are out, drain water from tub and let it drip for a bit before lifting to hang up....

Did you use dry detergent? Anyway...put it back on soak cycle and use .. now i am not kidding..window cleaner...like Windex..worked for me. Then run it back through full cycle. Try it..it works. Whatever you do..do not put thru dryer until you get stain out.

try rubbing a gentle soap on the stains such as ivory and take it to the laundromat and wash it in an extra large washer

you will have to wash it again ...but i'd advise that you wash those at the laundrymat. those washers are big enough to effectively clean the comforter and dry it in a fraction of the time it takes at home. try that, it shouldn't cost more than $5.50 all together.

it was too big for the machine and it didn't rinse well. try rinsing in a bathtub or hang it on clothes line and hose it down.
