OK, first thing to do is run a thorough virus scan, adware scan and spyware scan. Your husband just may be telling the truth in this case: there is adware that will pop up porn sites at random intervals.
Second, don't discount the possibility that it is your 7yo - if it's random and intermittent (that is, it only happens once in a while), it could be nothing more than a mistyped address and an onclose() loop -- some less than reputable sites will pop up a new browser window when you close the current one down.
Now, with the "other views" out of the way, let's assume your hubby is watching sex online, and is smart enough to delete his history.
Assuming you use windows, the easiest way is to go to "C:\Documents and Settings\", and then to the folder that's named whatever the screen name is (or "owner", depending on your settings). Now, let's dig a little deeper... "\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\"
Now, before you go any further, get the kid out of the room. Go into any of these folders. This is the stuff that doesn't get shucked when you do the Tools>Internet Options>Delete Files... Delete All Offline Content routine in IE. Right click, View>Thumbnails; then Right Click again, Arrange Icons By > Type.
Now, unless your hubby uses the Run As... command with his browser, this won't tell you *who* downloaded it, it only shows whats been downloaded.
Then, ask yourself if it is really a big deal is if he's looking at porn; or if he needs to be more discreet about it to ensure that your child isn't exposed to sexual images until you as a couple determine that he/she is mature enough to understand them; or if what's bothering you is that he didn't invite you to watch, too.

a sure way to find out is to use a keylogger. it'll record everything he types when he's on, like domain names, passwords, etc. it's invisible and runs in the background, and you check it when he's not around. but if you get caught, i'm sure he'll be really mad and still keep on doing it anyway. but it's sneaky, and just as bad as looking at porn - maybe worse.
if i were you, i'd tell him to use a different user account with a complex password on the computer for that kind of stuff - and he can dowhatever on that account.
that way your kid doesn't see it. you can set that new account account to lock after 3 minutes of inactivity so the kid doesn't stumble upon it if he leaves the computer unlocked. or you can create your kid her own account with no password (so you can tabs on her) and tell her she can only use that one - whatever is easier. or you can get another computer for the kid...there are many options obviously.
search the web for "creating windows user accounts", keyloggers, "screensaver password protection" , used computers ($100 for the kid), morals of spying your husband, etc
have fun.

My best suggestion is that you pay attention to the type of porn he's looking at, then go to the adult book/movie store, and find a video that the two of you can watch together.
Perhaps if it's something that you don't object to so much, he might be less inclined to hide it.
FYI, it's not perverted. It's EXTREMELY normal, and many couples enjoy this together.

I have a simple rule in life
if it does not hurt anyone in any way, have all the fun you want.
Just because you were brought up to believe that action is perverted, then you were brainwashed.
Perverted is doing it to a kid.
Adults is something Else, they are willing and getting paid for it.
just because you think it is, is your opinion, he may have another opinion.
question: do you folks do it in the dark, or under the bed sheets, guys are visual creatures they like to see what is going on. if you still don't like it get blinders on, so you will be in the dark, and he can have the lights on.
Also watch with him, great turn on, there is nothing wrong with watching, who's going to know, who's going to tell.
maybe he's watching porn, because you are NOT meeting his needs or expectations.
you were brought up to believe something, and now it is stuck in your head, NOW you have to learn to get over it.
Would you rather he watch port, or go out and find a prostitute or another woman, your choice.

You still might be able to look up images that were looked at in the temporary internet files.. could just a a search on the c drive for *.jpg and see what comes up...
if you are really curious, buy a keylogger and install it on the computer.

The bigger issue is why he looks at porn, what motivates him to do it... and why does it bother you so much
Of course if he is exposing your children to it, then he needs to be made to stop, either through counseling, threats or whatever it takes to stop him.
