LOL, I know this sounds strange, but lot's of people say there are no ugly babies. I guess because they haven't developed any ugly attitudes and bad habits yet. But I'm talking about physically. My daughter was 3 months premature and she looked very strange. She had not discarded the fuzzy hair that is usually discarded in the womb, she had a large head because her body hadn't developed to where it needed to be, and she had a weird discoloration because of jaundice. I know these were things she could not help, but I told my mother She was soooooo ugly. LOL, my mother looked at me so strange. Don't get me wrong. I love my daughter to death and would do anything for her. She was in the hospital for the first 7 weeks of her life I barely left the hospital only to change clothes and bath. She looks normal now. But do people sometimes look at their kids and say "Damn I have an ugly baby" or what do you say when you see an ugly kid and their parents are waiting for you to talk.

I comment on clothes and shoes too, LOL Sometimes I try and find a cute feature and point that out.

I think my daughter is very adorable now and people always say how cute she is and says she should be in commercials. She's 2 1/2. She has beautiful think hair, she has big lighter brown eyes(Like bambi, LOL) and chubby cheeks, a smile that would melt any heart and a beautiful brown skin tone. But I can definately admit that the first 2 months after birth, it wasn't looking so good in the looks department.

It's just funny that people can't admit when children aren't cute, because they are children.

Alright, this is really funny...I also had a baby about 2 and a half months early, and she was the most god awful ugly thing i have ever seen. She was just really small bones with thin, blotchy skin wrapped around them. It was so sad. And yes, it was alright for me to call her ugly, because it was only because she was premature, as soon as she plumped out a little, she was as cute as could be. But I don't think any parent would call their kid ugly without an excuse. Being premature makes them ugly, but you know it will change. I also have a four year old that cut a huge bald spot in the front of her hair...which also made her ugly. But it was only alright for me to call her ugly because I knew it would grow back. I don't think any parent would call their kid ugly if they knew their looks weren't gonna change. As for other people's kids, if I see a kid that I just can't bare to call cute, I always comment on their clothes. You know...awww, look at them adorable shoes. Or maybe even their hair, or smile, anything but that ugly face. LOL. That's a lot nicer way than saying OMG, what the hell is wrong with your ugly baby. But don't worry about your ugly baby JK. Seriously, all the hair goes away, their body grows to fit their head, and they finally get some meat on their bones. Good luck with your little one.

Yes, i believe we know when are children are ugly. My youngest son of four. He is very handsome now thank god. However, when he was born almost 13 years ago, 2months early he was very small, had very red skin and green eyes, he looked like a baby monkey, with fine hair all over his body. Oh my was he ugly. I would never tell another man/woman their baby was ugly, i would just not say a word. That would be very rude and hurtful. There are some ugly babies in this world.

I was an ugly baby and in NICU for ten days. I'll be honest and admit I thought one of my babies, the last one born, was not attractive when he was born. A day after he was born, he was bright, bright orange and looked like he'd been eating lemons all his life. The bright red hair kinda made his orange skin that much more orange.

He looks sweeter now though.

I always tell parents, "S/he's going to be so cute...!" or make a general "Awww!" sound when they show me pics of their own kids or show me their children. I never say their child is ugly.

My son was born at 24 weeks and just looked like a scrap of raw meat. Yet everytime anyone came to see him for the first time they all said how gorgeous he was! Altough I loved the little critter with all my heart I could not see any beauty there. I thought mother's were always supposed to see their kids as beautiful but I was so relieved when he started to look 'normal' at around 6 months. Now he absolutely gorgeous (even if I do say so myself!!).

Premmies are not the prettiest babies in the world but they are still babies & no one with a good heart can look at something that tiny & miraculous & call them ugly. Be thankful she is healthy. My friend lost both of her twins due to premature birth.

lol, I always wondered if parents knew that their baby was ugly. I have a 8 month old son and I know he's not ugly. You can usually tell the ugly ones because they don't get a lot of attention out in public. Hell, sometimes I wonder if people know that they are ugly themselves, lol.

My friend told me once about when she had her daughter: when she came out and they showed the baby to her, she said "Ew, she's ugly! Put her back I want another one!" She has a weird sense of humor! LOL :) But I guess the most important thing is that everyone is beautiful one way or another!

You will be hard pressed to find a parent that says they have an ugly baby. Most parents when they see their children for the first time, see a beautiful cherub or an angel. They see their future generations, their hopes, their love personified.

LMAO! Yes, we can admit if our child is ugly. Mine is adorable, but I am dreading the day I have another one if he/she is not as attractive as the first. That would bad for the child for sure. But I've met people who ooh and aah over my daughter and some have even admitted that she is cuter than theirs. It's just that a mother doesn't *care* what their child looks like, not that they don't realize if they are attractive or not.
