Are Formic acid and Formaldehyde truly productions of the body? If so, are they still harmful if someone consumes too much? (I'm writing a research report and I MUST know this or all my proof will be void.) Please, also state how you know the answer you give.

No, formaldehyde, even in as little of a concentration of .25 parts per million can harm you. Your body NEVER produces either. Now, fire ants on the other hand produce formic acid.
