Why we do the same thing to our kid which used to irritate us in childhood when our elder used to do?

In our time it used to happen this way...

Every thing is detriorating - you people do not have sense of anything. This was totally different during our time...

You get so many facilities still you do not excel whereas we struggled so much, still we are here...


These are common sentences which we used to hear from our elders and used to get irritated that whatever was there during your time, this is different time or we are like that only.

But surprisingly when we grew old, we though try as much as we can but still we repeat all this.

Why?

Because as you grow older and "wiser", you realise that most of what your parents said was true, and you begin to feel the same way. My father complained relentlessly about the music in the early - mid 80's, and now today, the music my daughter listens to is absolute crap... "My humps, my humps, my lovely lady lumps"?!? Give me a break.

I can see though, compared to the music in the 60's and 70's why my father hated my music so much, and I have to agree with his attitude.

This is just one of many examples.

Remember, you are your fathers son. That saying has more meaning than most people give it credit for.

I do it because it drives my kids NUTS !! I like it when they hear the same responses from my parents and call me a copy cat. I decided a long time ago that I was going to be the one paying for their "therapy" so I'm going to have a little fun with it. I've also told my kids:
If they press the buttons on the credit card machines at the grocery stores and don't press the right numbers they'll get shocked
When we don't have a chimney- Santa gets into the house by coming up through the toilet
When people get REALLY old they turn into monkeys (that's why grandpa is all hunched over and hairy)
If my son lets anyone see his "weenie", the Weenie Fairy will come take it back and he'll turn into a girl

Because as we get older we realize our elders were right and they said those things for our own good not to be mean or spoil-sports!

it rather is accessible as quickly as the flaws we didn’t use to have it in our formative years ( including mom love ) later would desire to shape our obsession. the alternative would desire to be accessible. and particularly, I don’t prefer to think of what ensue for the time of our formative years to enable us to be obsessed of Y!A
