I methodically step-by-step think thru my issues or problems and make a decision and then feel better. Sometimes they are really old issues that I may have had at one time, like in jr high or high school which don't need resolved but I still think about them. I often wonder why I do this.

I think it's normal for people to try to solve their problems or thinkthrough them -- analyze them. I know I do!

Doing it while driving or cleaning house -- or doing any other activity that you don't have to be 100% mentally alert for -- is also normal. It shows you have an active mind. That's a good thing!

Be glad you have the ability to do this. Many people would rather ignore their problems or just don't have the emotional and mental ability to try solving them on their own.

Yeah, it is kind of like talking to yourself, but it's a form of self-therapy. I think it is a positive way to work through issues while doing menial mundane tasks. And even if you were the only one, (which you are not) if it makes you feel better-Go with it!
