sex is a pleasure activity n it shouldn't hurt unless you or both of you are in a hurry. You should ask yourself [1] are you ready mentally [2] are you doing it at the right place/time [3] having protective/safe sex [4] is he experience enough not to hurt you
if you are too tense-up then you may not be able to enjoy sex, but if he has done enough foreplay then it should minimize the uneasiness, or you just simply not ready to share the intimacy with him ?

What do you mean hurts you? is he too rough, is he in the right area, sometimes being off a little cancause pain, if he is positioned right and you are well lubricated ( not enough lube can cause pain) thenthere should be no problems... if there are still problems after u have tried lube and checked positioning, you should go to the doc or ob gyn, because there could be a serious underlying problem, good luck!

If it hurts you in a burning way then there is something wrong. Usually if you are having sex like maybe once a week it may hurt just because of the way your shaped down there.

If things are working right, you should have natural lubrication from foreplay and arrousal. If you are trying to have intercourse without that, you are going to have pain. You need the lubrication and if he is in too much of a hurry that will not take place.

i just want to add one thing: everyone else has really good answers.

For the sake of your health please DO NOT use Vaseline as a lub !!!! it can give you an infection. Thats why they make lubs especially for that use.

It sounds like he's awfully long, so don't let him put it in so far or make sure you're relaxed.
