yes, I like bittersweet. There are a few others, but most of it is contextual:

how about poignant?

you could try more than one word (heartachingly beautiful)?

You could try otherwords that don't have the exact denotation that you are looking for (exact definition), but with the context, the connotation, the hidden meaning evoked by the writer, can come out. Think of words like serene, melodic, somber.
Apart- set apart by beauty and loneliness, sadness.

I agree with bittersweet.

Perhaps another word to consider: wistful.

In what context are you trying to use the word? Perhaps a two word phrase might capture the meaning.
