Educate yourself about consumer choices. Always look for the cheapest price and the reliability of the product. Do your research extensively, and never buy an out of the shell just launched product. You can save hundreds of dollars by waiting a couple of months.

put it in a manilla folder and put it in your underwear droor
and to keep your reciepts, get those bank folder things they give you when you make a withdrawel and label them by month or by pay check period and put every receipt you get into that folder thing for that time then put them in a manilla folder in your underwear droor.

and id try not spending as much when you go out, take a portion of your pay check out and put it in the folder/bank, take several hundred dollars and put it in the thing in the bank that lets you put it in for twelve months where you cant take it out but it grows aton of interest. and buy off brand stuff
