There are some people you cannot negotiate with, sometimes they need someone to teach them a lesson. In this case, it has not gotten physical. just keep it cool. You don't know the kind of people this person hangs out with, they could be more dangerous that you might think.
You are a great kid asking for advice, some other kid would of done it already, and maybe that's what he wants, for you to make the first move. Don't do it, don't give him the pleasure of getting you in trouble. But if push comes to shove, then you will have to defend yourself. When the time comes, make sure you do it in your house and one on one, if he comes over to your house.
Why am i telling you this?... well, one my sons had the same problem, he did what I'm telling you, the kid didn't dare to open his mouth again or to get close to him.
Be smart about it.

Just make him feel like an idiot. When he is talking crap, just look at him and shake your head then walk away......or have other people with you..and all of you look at him like he is a freak and shake your heads and walk away. After awhile, when he isn't getting attention, he will stop or move on to someone else. Hopefully he will just stop. But fighting, is only going to get you into trouble, because he obviously doesn't care if he is in trouble, he just like to cause it. Be the better person...don't fight. Good Luck !!!

People like that aren't worth the effort. Trust me, I've gotten in a lot of fights because I don't get along with jackasses and all it gets me is labelled a guy with a bad temper and no restraint. I also did some time in jail because of it. Not worth it.

You shouldn't fight with anyone, especially at school. However, if the guy is a jacka55, you can say something to him. Don't you be a pr!ck, just tell him that he's really annoying to you, and that you wish he would just settle down.
Now, after that, if he doesn't quit being a moron, or leave you alone, he may need an a55 kicking! Just don't do it at school. Do it somewhere else - and it doesn't need to be a show, just smack him around a bit, keep it between fellas, and he won't phuck with you anymore!

No you should not fight back, While I am very sure you are very upset, frustrated, and even hurt. You become a better person then he is and not fight or go down to his level. That would not solve anything.
I would highly suggest really trying to talk it out with the guy without getting frustrated in a mature manner.

Deep down this guy is very insecure and inadequate. You say he talks alot of crap. This is the reason why he does.. I bet he clowns around and shows off. Its when he is on his own he is very miserable and unhappy. Try and understand him and don't take offense. Where is it going to get you if you have a fight..Nowhere..

No, assault and battery is generally not the best option. Self-control and a sense of maturity when faced with jackasses will get you further in life.

Let me tell you a little about myself.. In school and now I love to fight.
I know I'm good when it comes to fighting one on one and can handle up to 3 mans. Now in this world ever one can get a gun.. I know I can't fight a person with a gun.. So now I just walk away.. Think about it first. Before you do something that can kill you or will send you to jail..
