I sit down in a real calm and quiet place and talk to God.

I pamper myself..I light a few candles jump in the hot tub and relax..when I am not at home and cant do that I throw on some upbeat music and drown myself in the music...if that is not an option and I am in a place that limits my expressions like an office..or place with lots of people I write what I am feeling in my journal and that helps get it off my mind..sometimes there is no cure sadness like when you lose a loved one or miss someone or you have so many things happen that make it unbearable the only cure is time..but i basically try to relax and that helps put things into perspective

listen music that relaxes me...take a bath, dress myself in the most expensive cloths that I`ve got,put a nice make up,and go shopping...with some friends or maybe alone....if you don`t have to much money just buy something that would make you feel better...eat something that you really like,in a fancy restaurant, make all those things that you really like.when I am sad,I like to be alone...i do those things and others aswell,do sports...in the evening I take a bubble bath, drink a glas of wine, watch a comedy,or something what I really like.
think about it,tomorrow everything will be diffrent.so good luck.and a kiss,to cheer u up.

I sit down and do a puzzle alone... or I go target shooting with my good friend.
I have also been known to take a hot bath, or go shopping. I don't make a lot of money so the shopping one is only if it is a really down in the dumps more than usual kind of day.

spend time with children and animals (for example, if I feel down I spend time with my nephews or niece and their pet dogs or my own pet cat), write (journal, blogging),
talk to a supportive friend or mate (make sure they are not critical or negative, that won't cheer) make a list of things you like to do (preferably when you aren't sad) and refer back to it (shopping, concerts, whatever) and do it! go out iwth a friend or two, get the focous off yourself....this is assuming your don't have clinical depression, then you should get checked out by your doctor....

Take a nap
have a drink
take a walk
but none of those usually work. I guess the point is that I tried.

Think of all the good things in my life.
The more u dwell in being unhappy the more it bothers u..so best to cry for a bit and make your self busy.
