have a lovely wee 206, yesterday i noticed a squeaking noise when i turn corners. Its only every so often. I noticed that the heaters above the cd were pretty hot. Usually the temp gauge never goes above 90, today it was slightly higher. Does anyone know what the cause can be????? damsel in distress

usually CV joints make a clunking noise when faulty. They will be more noticeable when the wheels are turned all the way over. I would say the squeak is a bad or loose wheel bearing. (assuming there is proper air pressure in tires).

I'm not a mechanic but it could be a rubber bushing or something in the suspension causing the squeak. You may want to check your hoses for leaks as well, just in case.

most likely your getting ready for the water pump to fail, sounds like the bearing in the water pump is bad and that is the squeaking your hearing and the reason for the higher temp go and have the water pump looked at.

that squeak and the excess heat sounds like a bad water pump to me. get it fixed soon. before long you will see a small amount of fluid seeping out from underneath the front, but as it get's blown back from the fan it is hard to notice.

First, you will need to get your CV joints replaced. I generally replace the entire axle as it is much easier to deal with. Secondly, you should check your coolant level to be sure you have plenty of coolant in the radiator. Going into fall/winter is when you will have trouble with the thermostat, it may be starting to stick. Good luck.
