What is better - The DS Lite or the PSP?

I dont think that you can really compare unless you have either owned or played at length both of them. (which i have) and basted on that i would say that the DS (lite or normal) is the better console.
the most obvious reasoning for this is that there have been more DS' sold not only in the UK, but worldwide.
If we are talking about a games console then DS wins because that is exactly what it is. PSP however is more of a gadget aimed at kids in their late teens and usually older working men (and im sure women) but the price is far too high.
and people who say that 2 screens means that it's rubbish obviously dont own a DS as one of them is a touch screen and adds lots to the gameplay as whose who have plyed warioware would know.
finally, the whole point of the DS is to try and appeal to all audiences which it does. my younger brother myself and my grandad all own one and wel all think they are absolutely fabulous. (plus the screen doesnt crack if you drop it)

I personally like the DS. The PSP I find easy to break, and has about 5 hours of battery life without upgraded battteries. But I hear that the PSP games are a bit better. The DS games are games that require a little more logic than PSP, where most games are action. So it takes less thinking. For the PSP, you can make it stronger and more durable by buying upgrades, like battery packs, protection cases, etc. I like how Nintendo is changing the way you play video games too with the touch screen.

The DS is already strong enough without upgrades. THe Lite lasts 18 hours without upgrades.

Graphics... PSP wins in graphics, and DS usually has 2d games.

The DS is a great machine, we got 3 here at home. Some cool games, Mario Kart is amazing, but graphically nowhere near as good as the psp.
I like the DS for multiplayer gaming from 1 cart, a great idea. Mario Kart, Advance Wars and Tony Hawks are all really good.
Just bought a PSP though, and only got Burnout but I'm very impressed. Cant wait for GTA to be delivered though.
I would reccomend the DS for younger and more casual gamers and the PSP for older/more serious gamers who have more time to play.
