I never had morning sickness - but afternoon sickness instead! Bananas and mints helped me! Good luck to you!

I found out on Thursday I am pregnant, not sure yet how far along as on Monday need to make a doctors appointment. But this morning I had my first bout. At a guess I am around a month to 6 weeks gone. As I work with young children I have talked to expectant moms in the past and have been told that it is most common during the first three months. I suppose it is a way for the body to let you know that you are pregnant. If you are sick you go to the doctor don't you?
Best of luck to you.

Some ladies are lucky enough not to suffer with morning sickness (should be called anytime sickness) I am currently pregnant (37 weeks) and i was sick from week 5 to 15 everyday! it was exhausting. Don't wish for it, nothing is wrong with you if you don't get it.

A good way to find out more information about pregnancy and birth etc is to join an online forum such as www.babyworld.co.uk. I joined there and i haven't looked back - it has been such a good support for me and has offered me reasurrance when i have thought things weren't quite right. there are lots of other very friendly ladies there who can help you, join one of the antenatal clubs! Failing that you could buy yourself a few books, or the magazines, or ask your mum, friends.

good luck with your pregnancy, i hope everything goes well for you! :o)

I knew I was pregnant at 5 weeks, so I know what it's like for you - You don't even feel as though you're pregnant. Just when you think you've got away with no morning sickness - it comes! I think mine started at about 8 - 10 weeks. I'm 24 weeks now, so it's gone now (thank God!) It lasts ALL bloody day!!

Good luck and remember, Take it easy cos you are still very early in your pregnancy, keep it hanging in there!

Mine started at 8 weeks til 16 weeks with my first, then came back at 28 weeks til 36 weeks. With my second it was worse and started at 6 weeks and didn't stop until two days before I had him...it was 3-4 times a day sickness too, not just morning.

I've known a handful of people that feel sick and are never sick...infact, I know more who've had hardly any sickness than who've had loads...so I think I was just extremely unlucky!

There isnt any exact time line to your question. Ive known of pregnant women having sickness at two weeks, some takes longer to begin, and some women (who are so lucky), dont get to experience this unpleasant side effect at all. As for myself, Ive had it with all 3 of my children (w/in the first few weeks), and what is really strange is that Ive had it ever since (EVERY MORNING) without being prego for the past 14 years. That started with my 14 year -2nd child- and the earlier I wake up, the worse that it is for me. Just drink something warm and eat a pc of toast, crackers, or plain bread. The warm drink ALWAYS takes mine away, even in pregnancy. Every pregnancy is going to be different. Just take it easy, good luck, & God bless!!!!

Mine kicked in at 5 weeks but for many it's around 6 or 7 weeks. A small percentage doesn't get sick at all.

I was one of the less fortunate people that had morning (all day and night) sickness. It lasted from week 5 until week 13 for me. You still might have morning sickness, or you might not.

I have a 3 month old and everyone hated me because I was never sick...ever! Maybe you'll be a lucky one too! People say that if you have it it will usually subside by the end of the 1st trimester so you're off to a good start.

It varies with each individual could be 5 weeks to 12 weeks after conception. You might not even get the morning sickness symptom.
