If I had my last cycle on Aug 31st, does that mean I am 4 weeks pregnant or 2? I want to know what the fetus looks like right now but Im not sure if I should look at the 2 week or 4 week? So for instance if I start to show at 15 weeks will that be 15 weeks from aug 31 or 15 weeks from mid September?

You are 4 weeks....the first 'two weeks of pregnancy' you're really not even pregnant....but they count towards your total!! How weird is that....
CONGRATULATIONS!! Im' 4.5 months with my first and we're having a blast.......
and you might start 'showing' anytime....it depends on what kindof clothes you wear, how much you weigh, and how fast the baby grows!
Good luck!

Your weeks start counting from the first day of your last mentrual period, so that would mean that you are now in your 5th week of pregnancy. There is no fetus yet, its just a little embrio. Go to www.about.com and type in pregnancy. There's a cool thing on there where you can check in weekly and it'll tell you where you are at and what the baby looks like every week.

They go off your LMP. The first 2 weeks of a pregnancy you arent really pregnant, but it's counted in the 40 weeks. You are 4 weeks pregnant.

You automatically gain 2 weeks from the date of conception. SO depending on the date of conception, add 2 weeks to that, but it sound like you are about 4-5 weeks. You might want to check out a due date website. They will usually tell you how far along you are.

pregnancy is counted from your last period the 1st day of your last period is counted as day 1 pregnant EVEN thou you don't get pregnant till about 2 weeks after. You can look up info using LMP or gestation dates LMP is going from your period to count that's how a doctor counts to but some web pages have ACTUAL gestational age they will say on the page if it's last period lmp or gestation.

at 4 weeks your baby is still about the size of your fingernail. I would wait until you go to the doctors, and they can help you caluculate exactly how far along you are. With my last pregnancy I had it down to the day.

Ok first off...there is no way to tell exactly how manny weeks you are unless you go to your doctor and he/she will do a few test on you and then they will be able to see. They will most likly do a pregnacy test first then they may or may not preform an ultasound. so that would be what i would do.
