Homeostasis is the property of an open system, especially living organisms, to regulate its internal environment to maintain a stable, constant condition, by means of multiple dynamic equilibrium adjustments, controlled by interrelated regulation mechanisms. The term was coined in 1932 by Walter Cannon from the Greek homoios (same, like, resembling) and stasis (to stand, posture).
Metabolism (from Greek μεταβολισμός "metabolismos") is the biochemical modification of chemical compounds in living organisms and cells. This includes the biosynthesis of complex organic molecules (anabolism) and their breakdown (catabolism). Metabolism usually consists of sequences of enzymatic steps, also called metabolic pathways. The total metabolism are all biochemical processes of an organism. The cell metabolism includes all chemical processes in a cell. The dynamic energy budget theory aims to quantify the metabolic organisation of individual organisms.
So..I would say the answer is energy and metabolism.....
Metabolism...the process of using chemicals to generate energy...and so...the answer has to be metabolism...

Biology is the Study of living things. Anything that isliving is called an organism, which is composed of one or more cells & Utilizes
{ energy } to maintain its organization & carry out normal functions.This is derived through the process of { homeostasis }

energy and metabolism
A cell will utilize anything it receives, so "nutrition" is out.
"Homeostasis" is the gradual slowing of a living process, so it couldn't work in the passage either.

Energy and Metabolism
Nutrition would not be so relevant.
Homeostasis is the property of an open system, especially living organisms, to regulate its internal environment to maintain a stable, constant condition, by means of multiple dynamic equilibrium adjustments, controlled by interrelated regulation mechanisms.
Hope it helped

I think this is homeostasis and metabolism.
Homeostasis is a regulatory and control function.
Metabolism is the conversion of nutrients to energy.
Funny, but the sentence does'nt feel quite right to me.
