You need to read the verse in the context of the verses around it. The entire passage is describing how Jesus came to bear sin once by his own sacrifice, just as man will die only once. Jesus will come again, the second coming, not to die for the sins, but to those waiting on him to salvation. We will only die once...after that its our judgement and heaven or hell for eternity. No reincarnation.....

People die once. That is what it says. I suppose that if one believed both this verse and re-incarnation that one would also believe that he would never die in the second version of his life.
What a belief? Re-incarnation does not make sense scripturally or mathematically. The population of the Earth does not keep up with the number of souls. Or rather the number of souls does not keep up to support re-incarnation versus population and birth rates and death rates.
If you want a laugh, it took me five minutes to figure out the answer. I just woke up and kept reading cremation instead of re-incarnation. It sure does help to wake up a little.

Thank you for once again proving how easily a parrot can mindlessly quote chapter and verse. Of course, we only die once. There is no more evidence to prove reincarnation than there is to prove anything in your book of myths.

Each separate man is to die once, but it says nothing to negate the reality that the soul can chose to come back in another body
