I was listening to Weird Al's "Don't Download this Song" and he mentioned Grokster, some file sharing site.

I don't do P2P file sharing at all and I only use iTunes; what I did was I went to see the website out of curiousity and it said something about recording my IP address and stuff.

I don't even have the program downloaded. I wasn't going to download anything. I was just there out of curiousity. Anyone else get this?

Pretty much all website you visit records your IP adress. It doesnt mean anything .It mostly helps them count the number of visitors
