lots of choices:
one shoulder top, black pleated mini
boatneck shirt denim mini
a halter dress
a cami, regular or lace with practically any bottom, prefferably a skirt. I like a light pink cami with a yellow ruffled skirt, or a short white wrap skirt.
a blue halter top, with a thick - striped blue and white skirt
A navy hollister hoodie (www.hollister.com) with a coral colored hsirt underneath and rolled up dark wash jeans
A western style shirt(www.aeropostale.com) with medium wash mini
maybe a pink white pinstriped button down shirt, with white pants with a pink sash belt.
a shirt that kinda has buttons halfway up the shirt, and you unbutton like the first 3 or 4 and it shows your other shirt underneath...make the shirt underneath pretty and lacy. :-) (if you dont get this Sorry)
a blue flirty dress.
a simple chiffon dress.

FOR YOUR HAIR:
there are couple of things you could try (not all at once though)
1) try wearing headbands, or a pucci type scarf,or other hair accessories.
2) wear jewelry, try a wrist full of bangles, or a chunky ring, or a long necklace, stacked rings, dangly earrings, a cool pin
3) paint your nails
OTHER HAIRSTYLES
a pretty updo
braid it (everyone knows how to braid)
french braid it(same here)
messy bunmake a bun, but loosen strands or make a ponytail and dont pull it all the way through.
two braids in the back of your head
cute pigtails(uhh...i hope you know how to do pigtails)
crimp it(buy a crimper, they have a crimper at hair stores, and put your hair in between the two hot plates of the crimper, and pull gently down to the end of your hair.
make it wavy(braid lotsa little braids when your hair is wet. Next morning take all the braids out and your hair is wavy. Or get a perm.
you can fool around with hair chopsticks?(stick hair chopsticks in your bun or ponytail to make it stay in place)
ever heard of a suepr straight japanese perm??? its pretty(get your hairstylist QUICk ha)
super strait with a headband
braid 2 or 3 braids in the back of your head and then braid those braids together. then take the big braid and twist it into a bun. Secure with bobby pins. Really pretty and elegant. trust me

depends on the grade your in, if its under 8th then you should wear blue jeans & a blue shirt that matches your eyes.
usually high school dances are more formal, i think. not sure abt h.s.
no body gets dressed up 4 the dances that much...at least down where i live..
they are so fun!
BTW---> do your hair in a messy bun, or leave it down!!

Wear something that you will feel most comfortable in. I'm not exactly the fashion expert, so I'll leave the color and everything else to the ladies. Just make sure that it's something you would feel proud to wear, and that it suits you. Are you single?

Well if you are going to homecoming and you have to wear a dress Maybe a black dress. the dress should be to your liking. If you can be casual maybe a nice pair of jeans with a shirt that is kinda dressed up with a nice pair of high Hills.
