I was driving home from work in my 1988 toyota tercelan it just cut off. I went to the side of the road to try to start it. I step on the gas pedal several times.It would run for a few seconds then cut off. It is acting like it is not getting gas. I had it tow to my local mechanic. he has done eveything he knows to do and it is doing the same thing. He put a new fuel filter and fuel pump on it and it is still doing the same thing. do you have any ideals what it could be. It is also fuel injected. ** thanks**

Could be a vacumn leak or a timing chain. Have them looked at.

check you exhausted if your cat is clogged then it will suffocate it is self. i have sent it 3 or 4 time this year alone
