Niether, with out protection, as soon as you left earths atmosphere, you'd be killed...even with sufficient oxygen, thats why astonauts have that gold tinting on thier visors,(It's actual gold) it protects them from the direct rays of the sun. Without it, they would be cooked alive.

Hi. No protection? As the others have said, not far. You can't even survive on Mt. Everest with no protection. A better question might be how close could you get WITH protection and what type could you use.

The temperature in the trophosphere (on average only 6mile altitude from sea level) is -80 degrees C, so even with oxygen you wouldn't survive there too long.

In fact, there are radiation belts before you get to the moon that would kill you, which is why the moon landings are a hoax
