Say exactly that.."I won't let it affect me" and don't think about it or dwell on it. Think of other things that will benefit you and help you have a positive attitude. Remember you are not responsible over someones behavior and neither are they over yours. No one affects us, we allow them to affect us and control what we think of ourselves..so don't bother with the mean person. Be more careful about your response working towards being virtuous.

You may want to let them know that you are not happy with the way they are behaving towards you. Just state the true facts honestly but not with a pointing finger. Once you have told them, move on. Hopefully they will realize their tendency and try restraining from it. In this case give them a chance to grow from it because it will take them a while to change.

Let us know what happens. All the best!

I know exactly what you mean! I get the same way sometimes too. Just try to put it in your head that if they are like that for no good reason, then they obviously have issues with themselves. Some people will say anything just to try and get a rise out of you, just try not to pay any attention to them and know that they have major issues with themselves.

I think it depends on how much of what is being said is, in your mind, true. If it bothers you then maybe you feel there is some truth to the comments being made. Where as if the accusations is unfounded then it shouldn't affect you at all.

Most mean people are mean because of an insecurity they have about themselves. Therefore, when they're mean it's often because they are envious or jelous about something.

As for inconsiderate people, they're just ignorant. Ignorance should never be tolerated. If someone is inconsiderate then you should call them on it.

A) people treat you the way you let them treat you, so if it's personal then STOp don't take this stuff
B) if it's work related then ......breath and smile and tell yourself this person is unhappy and what they are saying relates to them

Take care of you and your personal needs.

First I either call my sister and go to my girlfriends and get the "uh-huh, right on sister" for confirmation of my feelings then I tell myself that person isn't worth any more of my time and move on.

It is not about me, everything doesn't revolve around me, this is their issue, not mine, i will not allow their issues and attitudes to personally affect me.
