November 17 it releases in the U.S., there's a $500 version and a $600 version. The $500 one has a 20gigabyte hardrive and the $600 has a 60 gigabyte hardrive. For more differences between the two, go here: http://www.us.playstation.com/PS3/specs.html , in my opinion the 60 gig version is the better value and the $500 version will be harder to find on launch day because Sony is sending less. And just so Ronijn doesn't mislead you the PS3 also has the ability to store music as well and movies. It also has a "tivo" function to record television. In my opinion the PS3 is a better value than the Xbox 360. The graphics are better, the controller has tilt functionality(tilt controller to control character on screen) and more games will probably released for the PS3 given the PS2's proven track record. If you own a HDTV the ps3 will give you better functionality with that also, but everything still looks great on a regular TV. Also the Sony online service is free XBOX live is $35 per year. And lastly along with the ability to play Cd's and DVDs the ps3 will play blue ray discs which can hold 5x the amount of information as DVDs allowing for bigger more detailed games. If you have the money and you love gaming the Ps3 is a great investment. No it will Launch in the U.S. and Japan on November 17th. Alot of retards are trying to say Oh I was in Japan and bought one already but they are LIARS. Only Europe has had the launch date pushed back. Although I won't buy one because they cut the price by 20% in JAPAN ONLY so that they could compete with the Xbox360.

It's not out yet in the U.S until December or january, but I've seen articles and photos of the gameplay in Electronic Gaming Monthly magazine, and it looks like it blows away ps2. But In my opinion, X-box is still better because it has the ability to store music on its internal drive.
