The main module to operate fuel injected vehicles is called the powertrain control module or PCM. There are some small variations of this such as EFI (electronic fuel injection) EEC (electronic engine control) ECM (electronic control module) ect. Some cars have more than one module to control different components.

Grande is right. It is called the ECU, the Electronic Control Unit. It receives messages from the engine, usually the transmission as well and even the exhaust system to keep your car running good under its current set of circumstances.
