My son is 8 months old, and to the naked eye, his head looks fine, however, because of a condition called torticollis he has developed moderate plagiocephaly (a flat spot on his head). To correct his head shape, we are getting him fitted for a DOCband, a helmet designed to direct the growth of his head over the period of a few months. It costs $2700, hardly affordable. I am trying to contact ad agencies as well as companies to sponsor him by placing their ads on his helmet and then we would be reimbursed to pay for the helmet. He is only 8 months old but is involved in more groups than I was in high school. We go to yoga and a library reading group. We are from Chicago and live in an apartment building with lots of other babies so it would be a great opportunity for advertisers. These kinds of things also attract media attention, which would be great for the sponsor! If anyone has any information on how to get a company to sponsor my son I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you!

sorry to hear your news, but at least you have hope!

it may be best for you to write a similar letter as what you have told us here to many companies that are local to you, then just wait for a response.

or even send off the letters and then make a phone call to check with then after about a week.

good luck.
