I was with my mom. She was watching TV,flipping through channels. She turned to a live video of the first plane crashing into a tall building. She didn't kno what was happening, and, thinking it was just a movie and special effects, she kept on watching. When she saw the second plane crash, she realized it was all real, and told me and we both, in shock, watched the two buildings crash to the ground. That day everyone was silent. No one said anything about it. We were just acting like everything was normal.

I was in a hill-tribe village in nort Thailand.
When I heard the news, a flash went through my mind saying 'They did it themselves'
Subsequent research has revealed that it was, in fact, an inside job by the US government.

I was asleep since I live in California and it was very early here. I woke up to my clock radio and the news guy had this very serious tone of voice (different than normal), so my ears perked up and I heard him say something about two planes crashing into the WTC. I immediately realized it had to be terrorism, so I turned on my TV and watched taped footage of both planes. I had to run out to the ATM early that morning and the radio confirmed on my way there that one of the towers had fallen. I started crying. My office was closed that day because it's near some very tall office buildings in Century City and we weren't sure at the time whether or not there were still planes in the air heading for L.A. So I just stayed glued to the TV all day and watched in horror as the second tower fell and the Pentagon attack and Flight 93 were reported. I remember being stunned and devastated. It was a very bad day.

I heard about the first plane on the radio at work. I immediately went to a corner pub, walked in, turned my head to look at the TV set, and watched the second plane crash into the second tower LIVE. The bar was ****** silent. Luckily, I had brought a clown with me who was juggling and squirting people with a flower.

I was on my lunch break when the news came over the radio whilst walking around a book fair.
I asked the guys was it fiction, when they said no I ran around to the tv shop and watched in horror as the second plane crashed into the towers.
It's like a strange version of Russian roulette; you just walk into a room as the news happens. My friend Zander couldn't sleep one night so he turned on the box just as Diana's death was broadcast.
And some guy gets into a plane and says to himself: "today I'll be in heaven with the virgins" some people switch on to the wrong spirits...it's all spiritual roulette.

Driving to work where, when I got there, was hauled into a conference room where we were told that, per company policy, we don't need to look at the news or anything else on the internet, nor should we be receiving personal phone calls because they didn't want us on the phone all day with people discussing what was going on in the real world. We were then told it was business as usual and to get back to work.
Funny thing is, it's one of the better rated companies to work for.

I was sitting on packed suitcases to fly from Germany to North America the next day. At my sister's I checkt the stock market and saw it drop straight south. Another glance at the scale and I said to my sister: 'Turn on the TV something must have happened just now!' When the TV came on we saw the 2nd plane hit the 2nd tower... Needless to say that my flight only happened on 9/24.

I was driving to school when the first reports were reaching California and they thought that only a small passanger plane had hit a tower. Only after I got to school and everyone was glued to the TV did I find out what was really happening.

i was sleeping in California, and when i drove to work i heard the Howard Stern show talking about what was happening in NYC. I arrived at work and people were watching it on a TV in the lunch room. That day we wondered if there would be any terrorist attcks on the west coast of the US.

It was strange. I always set my clock radio alarm to "alarm" so I dont wake up with music...just works better for me, anyway...the morning of 9-11 I woke up hearing the words "Planes crashed into the twin towers......" I was very groggy but woke up quick when the words registered.....strange that I would have my alarm set to wake me up with the radio that day.........what a horrific day:o(
