Nope. Social Security is just another tax now, unless you are lucky enough to be disabled, you'll probably never see even a 15th of what you have paid into it.
Right now all our SS is going to pay for the baby boomer retirees, and their money got borrowed by the government and was never paid back.

LOL - I was just talking about that last night with my husband. He said good luck suing the government, but it makes sense! I think we should get paid interest for their long term "loan" with our money! Ha ha! Seriously, what are we going to do when we retire? The government won't have our SS money! I really think we should be able to privatize social security if we want to - at least those who are actually resposible enough to save and invest!

relies upon what you advise via "distant places" woman. Social protection advantages are calculated based upon a persons' earning history as reported to the federal government via his or her company. So there quite isn't a connection between being a US citizen and social protection. i'm uncertain approximately Medicare nevertheless.

No, there is no law allowing you to not pay into social security, and there is also no law alowing you to access it because you want to invest it yourself.
