How many do you think is the ideal number of clothing items for an office wardrobe?

tops (blouses, shirts...)
bottoms (pants, jeans, skirts)
dresses
shoes
other?

This may be different from what you actually have. Please don't say sky's the limit, can we deal with a realistic number. Thanks!

Excellent point, stimply. Let's assume that the clothes are good for one season.

I'd say these are realistic numbers but low. I'd want more of everything than what I say here... (maybe these are good number for seasonal clothes. Like some clothes you can wear in winter but not in summer.)

tops: 15
bottoms: 10
dresses: 2
shoes: 4

suit: 1 (every professional girl should have a suit for those days you need to impress)

don't forget the accessories -- scarves or shrugs that help change the appearance of a blouse you wore 2 weeks ago.

I think you need atleast 3 pairs of black slacks, 2 skirts and 2 dresses.
You need about 6 shirts to match up with the skirts and slacks
I guess about three pairs of shoes ought to be enough

That's what I have
