Need your advice about my friend who shaves her chest and nipples.?

okay well one of my friends shaves her stomach, chest, and nipples! i think it is kind of weird, but she says that she wouldn't want a guy to see hair on her chest or nipples ! and i didnt really know what to say ... do you think this is weird? or do you do it? do you know someone who does? is it normal? help;

It's more normal than you might suppose. Some women are just particularly hirsute (hairy).

We often think of humans as being mainly hairless creatures because we don't have fur like apes and other mammals but in fact most humans are covered with hair all over. This is particularly true of men but does extend to women as well.

For women, in most cases the hairs are very fine and/or light in colour so you wouldn't notice them but some women have thicker and/or darker hairs which show up. This can be facial, on the arms and legs or on the torso as in your friend's case. The amount of body hair is to some extent a feature of ethnic origin with the oriental races being virtually hair-free (even in the men) while some people of Indian, Pakistani or Middle Eastern origin are relatively hirsute.

Your friend is by no means abnormal or any kind of freak but Western culture in particular has this "ideal image" of women being virtually free of body hair (even where it grows on ALL women). Many hirsute women are therefore embarassed by their hairiness and regularly remove it for fear of being regarded as unattractive. Although this is probably advisable in order to avoid social embarassment, there are many guys (again probably more than you would think) that actually find very hairy ladies attractive - or are at least not bothered one way or another.

I have friends that shave everything else...back... arms...and I thought that was a little strange. The problem is that it grows back and they are even hairier then before! Ahhh! So...I would nicely recommend that she does it another way. There's so much out there for hair removal now. You can even do it at home. Plus if it's that bad, there's always permanent hair removal. I sure wouldn't want hairy boobs. Geeh. If she comes right out and admits that she does it, come right out and say you saw an advertisement for cheap treatment. That way you don't sound like you're saying "Stop shaving your chest!!!".

I've heard of women shaving lot's of areas, but i have never known of a girl who's shaves her chest.. I don't understand why... the heairs there are soo thin, and there are very few.. It's worst to shave, because the hairs come out more thick, and more tend to grow... but, it's her choice.. she can do what she wants...

You did not say how much hair your friend has. I wonder if she may have a medical problem for her to need to shave this much area other than what is normally shaved. Polycystic ovaries come to mind. If she has any other odd things she might want to see her doctor

More people do it then you know, but i would advies your friend to seek anouther way to get rid of the hair rather then shaving as the hairs will get darker and more of them will grow back. Tell her to try creams or waxing if she can stand it. There is also laser treatment which can be expensive but is excellent and the hairs dont come back.

If she's especially hairy than it might make her feel better to remove that hair. I know girls who wax their arms cause they're self-conscious about the amount of hair. Waxing might be better than shaving, but shaving would definately be more convenient and less painful.

I dont thik shaveing your stomach is weird because I do but I'm a model and I have shots of just my body and they told me to do it.
Shaveing your chest and nipples that is weird.
And when she stops she is gona have a hairy chest and look like a man. So gurl never do that cause youll have a vary vary hairy chest. Thats wat you should tell her.And it would have to hurt to cut your nipples.!!

i've never encountered a girl with a hairy chest or nipples, so i guess that means that either more girls shave than i thought, or it's rare for girls to be that hairy.

if i knew a girl who was hairy on the chest, i'd rather she shave, than not.

i mean, i know plenty of girls who shave their forearms, but that's a little more common that hairt chests, i guess.

It's not normal for most but we are lucky enough not to have to do that. However, if she really is that hairy and some girls are; let her be and don't make fun of her. Would you want anyone to see hair on your chest if you were a girl? I bet most of us would do the same. I would.

Sounds totally bizarre!! Waxing would be far more effective for her. It's to bad she has to deal with hair growing in those places. I personally hate body hair I don't see why we need it so I shave my legs and under arms, that's normal-to me.
