TORN BETWEEN TWO LOVERS
by: Mary Mcgregor
There are times, when a woman, has to say what's on her mind
even though she knows, how much it's gonna hurt
Before I say another word, let me tell you, I love you
let me hold you close nad say these words as gentally as I can
There's been another man that I've needed, and I've loved
but that doesn't mean I love you less
and he knows he can't posses me and he knows he never will
there's just this empty place inside of me, that only he can fill
{chorus}
Torn between two lovers
feeling like a fool
loving both of you, is breaking all the rules
Torn between two lovers
feeling like a fool
Loving both of you, is breaking all the rules
You mus'int think you've failed me, just because there's someone else
you were the first real love, I ever had
And all the things I ever said, I swear they still are true
for no-one else can have a part of me, I gave to you
{chorus}
Torn between two lovers
feeling like a fool
loving both of you, is breaking all the rules
Torn between two lovers
feeling like a fool
Loving both of you, is breaking all the rules
I couldn't really blame you, if you turned and walked away
but with everything I feel inside, I'm asking you to stay
{chorus}
Torn between two lovers
feeling like a fool
loving both of you, is breaking all the rules
Torn between two lovers
feeling like a fool
Loving both of you, is breaking all the rules
{chorus}
Torn between two lovers
feeling like a fool
loving both of you, is breaking all the rules
Torn between two lovers
feeling like a fool
Loving both of you, is breaking all the rules

There are too many to mention oddly enough there's a rare Monkees track that pops in my noggin right now called "Look Out (Here Comes Tommorrow)" it was written by Neil Diamond who wrote a lot of their songs.
Look out, here comes tomorrow,
Thats when Ill have to choose.
How I wish I could borrow,
Someone elses shoes.
Mary, oh what a sweet girl,
Lips like strawberry pie.
Sandra, the long hair and pig tails,
Cant make up my mind.
I see all kinds of sorrow,
Wish I only loved one.
Look out, here comes tomorrow,
Oh how I wish tomorrow would never come
Told them both that I loved them,
Said it, and it was true.
But I cant have both of them
Dont know what to do.
I see all kinds of sorrow,
Wish I only loved one.
Look out, here comes tomorrow,
Oh how I wish tomorrow would never come
I see all kinds of sorrow,
Wish I only loved one.
Look out, here comes tomorrow,
Oh how I wish tomorrow would never come
Mary McGregor's "Torn Between Two Lovers" is a lite rock classic that hit #1 back in the day.
The song "This Is A Lie" by The Cure lends some sympathy to your plight
How each of us decides
I've never been sure
The part we play
The way we are
How each of us denies any other way in the world
Why each of us must choose
I've never understood
One special friend
One true love
Why each of us must lose everyone else in the world
However unsure
However unwise
Day after day play out our lives
However confused
Pretending to know to the end
But this isn't truth this isn't right
This isn't love this isn't life this isn't real
This is a lie
How each of us believes
I've never really known
In heaven unseen and hell unknown
How each of us dreams to understand anything at all
Why each of us decides
I've never been sure
The part we take
The way we are
Why each of us denies every other way in the world
However unsure
However unwise
Day after day play out our lives
However confused
Pretending to know to the end
But this isn't truth this isn't right
This isn't love this isn't life this isn't real
This is a lie
This isn't truth this isn't right
This isn't love this isn't life this isn't real
This is a lie

"Triad" by Jefferson Airplane
(written by David Crosby [Crosby, Stills & Nash fame])
You want to know how it will be
Me and him and you and me
You both stand there your long hair flowing
Your eyes alive your mind still growing
Saying to me--"What can we do now that we both love you",
I love you too-- I don't really see
Why can't we go on as three
You are afraid--embarrassed too
No one has ever said such a thing to you
Your mother's ghost stands at your shoulder
Face like ice--a little bit colder
Saying to you--"you can not do that, it breaks
All the rules you learned in school"
I don't really see
Why can't we go on as three
We love each other--it's plain to see
There's just one answer comes to me
--Sister--lovers--water brothers
And in time--maybe others
So you see--what we can do--is to try something new--
If you're crazy too--
I don't really see
Why can't we go on as three.
