Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) - Soccer.

This is the organization that oversees the world cup. It oversees all the major soccer leagues world wide.
More people play and watch soccer throughout the world than any other sport. Sorry USA, you are not a leader in this category.

FIFA Confederations:
Asian Football Confederation
Confédération Africaine de Football
Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football
Confederación Sudamericana de Fútbol
Oceania Football Confederation
Union des Associations Européennes de Football
"Football" to FIFA is "Soccer"

The Confederations are the umbrella organizations of the national football associations on each continent. The AFC in Asia, CAF in Africa, the Football Confederation (CONCACAF) in North and Central America and the Caribbean, CONMEBOL in South America, UEFA in Europe and the OFC in Oceania all provide support to FIFA without encroaching on the rights of the national associations. In fact, the Confederations actually raise the profile of football further, by staging their own competitions at club and international level and though a range of other activities.

You're so far off. If you are talking actual overall attendance, use your brain. There are 162 games in baseball per team...so obviously baseball teams draw millions.
So it would be MLB (AL and NL), Japanese baseball leagues (Central and Pacific), NBA and NHL. If you throw in all college football and basketball they would knock out the NBA and NHL easily.

As far as average per game:
1. NFL
2. Bundesliga
3. AFL (Aussie Rules)
4. EPL

If you count the Champions League as a league it'd be third and bump EPL out.

TV globally, who knows? Sure EPL is shown everywhere but NBA is too now. I cannot see La Liga or Serie A drawing greater TV ratings that NFL football worldwide esp. when the Super Bowl is seen by billions.

When it comes to spectator sports around the world, nothing ranks with soccer. I know most of us americans dont know anything about that though. We think that everything revolves around the NFL, MLB and NBA, but all those put together dont even begin to rank with the followership that soccer gets around the world.

And I'll have to pick outside of your list and say the English Premiership is the most watched sports league in the world

Soccer is not popular here in the Philippines.. but I know it is soccer that is the most watched sports league in the world... I have seen it during the FIFA 2006 at Germany... and lots of people are talking to it... but here in the Philippines basketball is everywhere... and watching NBA is one of my pastime and I can't even wait now for it to starts the season.
