I'm certainly not bashing all men, but I hear this cliche so much-"I'm a man" as a justification for immoral or selfish behavior and I'm thinking: What does being a man have to do do with being immoral?

That's not what I meant- I'm talking more about violence, adultery/promiscuity, etc.

It is no excuse! They are just using it to cover their lack of character and their refusal to use self control!

It has nothing to do with it. I guess that whoever says that to you is trying to insinuate that these are common qualities of a man, and thus should be expected as typical behavior. Which I think is just another lame excuse some guys give themselves to justify thier actions.

Because it's the easiest way we can get women off of our backs for something we do not see as wrong. Controlling the remote, farting in public, and not putting the seat back down....we're just men.

Because we women let them get away with it. Sexisim is enforced by women as much as it is by men.
