I'm assuming you're in San Jose?
Ok... the easiest way would be to take the bus to the Fremont BART station. I'm not sure which bus line it is.. but there is one. You should be able to call the transit company.
Then, take the BART to San Francisco. There are many different stops that will take you right into downtown. You can either get off at Montgomery, Embarcadero, or Powell. They all run along Market St.

Go to 511.org and go to trip planner. It will tell you how to get there from wherever you are.You can even put in specifications like, fastest, cheapest, I don't want to walk more than1/8th of a mile, etc. It uses Muni and BART combinations if necessary.
