An imperial ton is 2240 pounds. Since a pound weighs 4.45 N, 2240 pounds weighs 9964 N. The physical dimensions of the weight are irrelevent to this question.

The length doesn't matter. Just convert from imperial tons to Newtons and you're set.

More information is needed, or clarification. Is the wieght spread out over 70 ft^2 or is it a square 70ft per side? A little info and the question can be easily answered.
