Toriyama sold the rights to the DB universe after (or during, I forget) DBZ. Fans were disappointed in the continuation, and the fanbase fell off dramatically, even in Japan before it came to America. It was corny, even to hardcore fans, or maybe ESPECIALLY to hardcore fans. A lot of people just stopped watching it, so the production company finished GT, and then decided to end it finally...after 230+ episodes, and quite a few movies (I don't know how many off hand). So, Dragonball/Z/GT is without a doubt over. Over all, I think it was a great show, and it had a great run. Making more of it would be like beating a dead horse-pointless.

I hope there is more Dragonball series to come, In the Sayian saga you can see that they changes artists between the sayaibn sage and the Namekian sagas, then in DBGT another animator. It would be great if we can see it. I am working on the idea of an import tuner that is themed with dragonball z. it is a few years in the making but dbz will live on here in north carolina.

Dragonball series in a story of Goku. Dragonball is a story of his childhood and the way he developed his personality and basic of fightings. Dragonball Z is often considered Gohan's story, but Goku is still there and we follow his story even to death. Dragonball GT is with Goku, still holding the position of main character.
New Dragonball serie would be nice to see at some point, but nothing would be like Dragonball Z. As for possibility of new series, Akira Toriyaman stated that he won't make continuations. GT was make by someone else and I don't think that it proved succssesful enough to be continued that way...
Basically, No, I don't think so.

I really hope not... the dragon ball series are just so childish and REPETITVE. If there's gonna be another sage, then they better take a drastic turn in the story development, make it more serious, and get rid of the whole "get-the-dragonballs-and- make-any-wish" crap.
