That is called a lymph gland, they swell and become tender when you have an infection in your body (often in that area). This is your bodies natural immune system trying to handle the problem on it's own. If it get larger, more tender or does not go away on it's own in 3 days consult your MD, you could need antibiotics.

You might also have swollen lymph gland in your arm pit area or behind your ear.

Do you have a fever, a bad tooth or an earache?

I have to stress 2 things before you read my answer: 1) I'm not a doctor, nor am I qualified in anyway to provide a prescriptory comment, however I can speak from what I've read here 2) This is completely the wrong category to ask - nobody here will be a qualified medical specialist. I suggest copying and pasting that, and reposting it in a category under "Healthcare" or "Medicine", or even "Science" (depending on how Yahoo do the categories now). ANYWAY, here's what I think. I can see, from the untrained eye, how a doctor may well brush off your symptoms. This seems a tough thing to diagnose - especially at your time of life - because puberty is obviously going to cause similar symptoms (Take hair growth, as an example). Also, it is quite plausible that the weight gain could simply be eating more. But that smacks me as being wrong: why would you only get weight gain around your neck and ankle areas ? Such a combination of symptoms does seem rather bizarre. For ANY medical professional to tell you something is "TOO RARE" IS WRONG. I know that much. It is diagnosable BECAUSE THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO HAVE IT. Whatever you do, I would keep pushing to get someone to see you; hell, go to every doctor in your state if you have to, if you're that sure you have this disease. To aid your case, I would get the eyesight test and brain scan on the eyesight and epilepsy respectively - it can only provide more information. Like I say, I'm no expert in this field, and any research I do is likely to have already been seen by you. I have done some simplistic research, and found that this disease can be caused by a tumour in your pituatry gland. If this is the case, I would recommend you try and see a specialist off your own bat; I'm not sure whether the regulations from where you come from allow this, though. Either way, when approaching doctor's, I would change your tack a bit. Go in there armed with a complete list of symptoms for Cushings, and a complete list of your symptoms, for them to compare. Go in as well with the images you have linked here: they demonstrate quite neatly your history (From what I've just read, Cushings is partly diagnosed through your medical history). There appears to be a National Association for Cushings, which can be found by simply typing in "Cushings disease" into Google. Also, I have found this from the association, which seems to give some detailing on diagnosis (As well as other things).

RE:
I have a small lump under my chin area, should I go to the doctor? Or has anyone ever had this happen?

I have had this issue before. Mine was on the underside of the chin toward the front - it seemed to be right underneath/behind the bone. Mine caused a small amount of pain when touched. If yours sounds the same, it is probably a swollen lymph node. It's often caused by being sick, and your body draining the stuff out of your body. Although this isn't always the case. I first noticed mine without being sick recently. If it doesn't drain out in a week or two then this may not be what it is, consult a doctor.

It is probably a lymph node and you have an infection. If it persists more than a week and your body does not take care of it, GO To The Doctor !
