Can I answer that from an observer point of view....The ultra low look uncomfortable. Especially when trying to bend down, that's when we get to see what you are wearing underneith, not always preferred. Or when you sit in class or anywhere with someone behind you. The high-rise are aweful, do they even make them anymore. Mid or Low is my choice. I know, I am not wearing them so butt-out.

I wear mid-rise, or at the waist jeans because I'm 5'4'' and low rise would make me look even shorter. I hate seeing plump women in low-rise boot cut jeans. They look like sausages.

The low rise are truly uncomfortable for me and I'm thin - when I sit, it just hurts. I like them set at my waist.

mid-rise is just fine, ultra lows are not comfortable and look funny.
