I think they just had a rainout or something. If I remember right, the rule is that they only play the makeup game if they have to to decide a playoff spot. With the Reds and Astros breathing down their necks, it looks likely that the Cards will be up or down by 1/2 game after Sunday. When and against whom will they play the makeup?

Yes, you are correct. Their last regular season game was to be
on Sunday October 1. If the Cardinals still have a chance to tie or
win their division, they will play the makeup game on October 2.
Their September 17 game with the Giants is postponed, so that
game will be made up only if the Cardinals finish 1/2 game behind the Astros and/or Reds. I think if the Cardinals finish ahead of the Astros and/or Reds at the end of the season by more than 1/2 game, the postponed game won't have to be played. The dvisional playoffs start on Tuesday, so I guess it depends on how MLB schedules the playoff series, since some
of the divisional playoffs will start on Wednesday. They could do
that for the NL Central division winner and their opponent. I think
if that happens, the makeup game with the Giants should be played on Monday, and if there is a tie for the NL Central, that game should be played on Tuesday, and the NL Central champion plays their first game on Wednesday.

The Giants game would be played on Monday 10/2 if necessary. Then any subsequent playoff game with Houston would be 10/3, with the NLDS starting on 10/4.

The Cardinals and the Giants were rained out in St.Louis on September 17 and it was only going to be made up if it was necessary. If it is necessary, it will be played on Monday, October 2. It will only be played if the Cardinals finish 1/2 game behind Houston or 1/2 ahead of Houston after Sunday. And if there is a tie between the Cardinals and the Astros after Monday, the tiebraker will be played on Tuesday, Octover 3 at Houston. As for the Reds, i don't know about them and i dont think they can make it since they are 2.5 behind St. Louis and 2 behind Houston with only 3 games to play. PLEASE CHOOSE ME AS YOUR BEST ANSWER

Shouldn't both games (the make up game and a potential tiebreaker) be played on Monday since the LDS starts on Tuesday? Also, any tiebreaking single elimination playoff games necessary on Monday will be televised exclusively on TBS Superstation nationally.
