When the jackal is about to die, it runs towards the city. Same is the case of America here. If it disturbs it too much (especially attacking Iran), it would be like strangling itself. Iran can target Israel easily. And you know the US is nothing without Israel. They will never attack Iran, especially after the uninamous manifestation of unity by 55 heads of the states from all over the world a few weeks ago in Havan (Cuba). I am referring to the Non Alligned Movement (NAM) countries.

Iran is a minor nuisance at this time. However, if they are allowed to develop nukes and delivery systems that could change. The government of Iran is anti-American to be sure, but do not extend this thinking to the Iranian people, many of whom are very pro-American. Let's us hope that for all concerned cool heads prevail in this matter. Further the greatest threat posed by Iran at this time is to Israel, not the United States. Trust me when I tell you we don't anyone to start swapping nukes in the Middle East. The whole world would suffer as a result.

Reality is that although it looks bad none of these countries is any real risk to us,we focus on the 2,600 men we've lost in three years so much that we forget that there were single days in WW2 that we lost more than that. If Iran becomes a problem it will mess up oil prices for awhile but not much more,they have a 0% chance of actually causing large scale harm to us unless we sit on our hands while they build nukes that they can hand to terrorists.Other than that they stand no chance,no country wins against the US when we fight with all our might.

Who's disturbing whom? The difference between Iran and America is that Iran can stop anytime it wants and the problem disappears. That's the classic definition of belligerence.
I'm certain that war is in the future and I predict it won't take very long.
