God should create the universe and then give his creations a vote on who should run it?

OK...so you round up a group of god's peers to have elections...
godhead by committee would probably be even worse....
nothing much-of any consequence- ever comes out of committee

surely, you don't think that the other gods would let humans vote??? naive and presumptuous of you.....

The Flying Spaghetti Monster [R-amen]
and the Invisible Pink [Purple] Unicorn [blessed be her hooves]
have the right of first refusal, I believe
....even Deep Thought [42 !]

stick with the dictator god that we have...after all, a known evil is probably better than the evil(s) we don't know

Because he's God. He can do what he wants to, and no one can stop him. That's one of the perks of being all powerful.

Besides, the creator of the universe has the right to determine how it is to be run. We would not exist if he didn't make us. Human governments, by contrast, govern by the consent of the people, because no human has the right to tell another human what to do with his life without some type of feedback, since we do not owe our existence to any other person.

Also, since God is all wise, and perfectly good, then God really does not need the advice of corrupt, immature, selfish humans who have very limited intelligence anyway. Human governments, by contrast, are imperfect, so they need checks & balances to keep them from running out of control, and humans have limited knowledge, so we need feedback to see if our well made plans are having their intended effect. God doesn't need our feedback, since he perfectly knows what he is doing.

imo

the idea of god being separate from everything is wrong

you and everything is god

you are sticking your oar in too

you are getting your vote

and it is being counted

the mistakes out there are also your mistakes

the universe is ruled completely democractically

but the demos needs improvement

the people are god too

and god needs to work on himself

needs to get real

become a good listener to reality

start experiencing and stop assuming

clean out the attic of trash ideas

put your mind on a firm footing

get your feet on the ground of reality

The universe works according to the properties of physics. Also known as the laws of physics. If you voted to change the weight of a proton by a zillionth of a gram, or the charge of an electron by a zillionth of a gauss, you wouldn't exist. The laws exist for your own protection.

An assumption that the Alpha and The Omega, The Great I AM, requires or desires any kind of input in any form is to have no concept of what the Creator of all, really is

No one ever said that god exists in a Democracy. That is a political belief that has nothing to do with the universe.

2006-09-29 15:00:43 · answer #8 · answered by Raymond 6 · 0 0

Democracy is necessary in human society where people are neither all-knowing, all-powerful, nor very good.
But God knows more than a trillion of us collectively ever could, is more powerful than anything and loves us absolutely.
And there is no choice.

He's afraid of us. Insecure. That's why the first commandment is thou shalt have no other gods before me--He knows he's a lousy excuse for an omnipotent being and that if we were given the choice in the matter he wouldn't be our choice. He made George W. Bush in his own image. I agree with what Anne Rice said in "Mnemnoch The Devil" It's a given that god forgives us, but who among us can truly forgive him? We blame everything that sucks in our lives on him--can you blame him for not subjugating himself to our judgement?
